| Remarks: |
- Although produced by a major Hollywood-Company (20th Century Fox), "Beyond the Valley
of the Dolls" may well be listed as "Sexploitation"-Film. After all it was the only Russ-Meyer-Movie
ever produced by a major company. Meyer is one of "the" sexplotation-movie-directors. - Grace Kelly, then a member of the board of directors of Fox, reportedly protested strongly against a "porn director" getting a contract with them. - Budget: 900.000 $ - Gross: 9.000.000 $ - filming locations: Hollywood, Ca. Los Angeles - goofs: In the first party scene Emerson drops a tray carrying full whiskey bottles. In the next shot you can see broken glass lying on the ground, but no liquids. When Ronnie Barzell drops Lence Rocke's severed head, the dummie breaks in two pieces when it hits the floor. |
